According to the law (HG 1132/2008), those who do not hand over the old battery for exchange must pay a fee of 10% of the price of the new battery, called the old/average part value fee. This amount can be recovered within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase of the new battery, if the old battery from the car is handed over. The fee collected from customers who do not return the old battery will be transferred monthly to the environmental fund.
